September 1, 2010 - The league presented "Pro Shop Tom" with a small token of our appreciation for the many years he has helped us tee off on schedule with his "Let's Go Starmet!" call.  Without his weekly reminder yell we never would have finished before dark!

Mother Nature Strikes!

April 28, 2010 - Mother Nature showed her mean streak today as she took her bad mood out on the first group on the course during the first week of our 2010 golf league season. Applying winter-like conditions, including a 42-degree cold drizzle and 15 MPH winds, to the golfers' early spring afternoon was not enough. Mother decided to lift and separate a golf bag "drizzle stick" umbrella up and out from its bag, blow drag it across the entire 4th green and into the adjacent pond ... just far enough into the water so that it could not be retrieved! Hopefully, this is not an indication of how the rest of our season will go!

Congratulations

Ethan Aronie and Mike Flynn won our mid-season two-man scramble with a league record tying front side 4-under-par 32 on June 23, 2010.

Sub 40 Rounds!

Brian Sheehan posted a back side 34 on June 16, 2010!  Tom Damon carded a back side 39 on June 2.  Brian Sheehan's back side 39 on May 5 was our first sub-40 round of the season!

Golf Terrorists Strike Again!

June 23, 2010 - The golf gorilla has once again been taken hostage!  Photos obtained from an anonymous source indicate the gorilla was run over by a car, taken to a really bad part of town, and is being held at knifepoint by the terrorists.  The written words found at the bottom of the three photos roughly translate to "Meet our demands or the gorilla gets it!"

Congratulations

Mike Zurawski and Rusty Lorenzen won our 2010 League Championship on August 25 with a closely contested 18-hole 39-33 victory over Tom Damon and Brian Holub.  The match was played in dismal weather conditions (wind, rain and mist in the mid-60s).  The championship was still in question going into the 18th hole.  This marked the first time on record (since 1989) that a team with the same teammates won three consecutive championships.

Congratulations

Tony Carpenito and Brian Holub won our Two-Man Blind Draw Net Medal event on August 25, 2010, with a combined net score of 3-under-par.  Brian Keith and sub Steve Bowie shared second place honors with Mike Zurawski and Rusty Lorenzen as both teams combined for 1-over-par results.

Sub Net-30 Rounds!

Brian Keith shot a "net 27" on May 5, 2010, while Dean Charest, Mike Zurawski and Brian Sheehan scored "net 29" on May 19, May 26 and June 16, respectively!
