LOST IN THE WOODS is our
annual four-person team golf scramble tournament.
This
event is open to all current and former NMI-Starmet Golf League members, as well as their friends
and relatives, and takes place on a weekday every mid-September at the Woods of Westminster
in Westminster, Massachusetts.
The first tee time is usually at 9AM. The entrance fee includes 18 holes,
driving cart, sleeve of balls, lunch after 18 holes and prizes.
Golfers are requested to organize
and enter as a complete foursome.
Cash prizes are usually given for Low Gross Foursome, 2nd Low Gross Foursome
and High Gross Foursome. There are also cash prizes for four closest-to-the-pin holes and a longest drive.
Finally, each golfer
is given a commemorative photo plaque representing the annual "theme" of the tournament. Past themes include The Three Stooges, The Simpsons, Caddy Shack, Happy Gilmore, The Munsters, The Flintstones, Animal House, James Bond vs. Goldfinger, Family Guy and Darth Vader!
Tournament details are usually available for distribution by mid-July.
In the past, we've had Funny Golf Book raffles and have issued prizes for Most Lost Balls Found, Best
Dressed Golfer, Biggest Divot and Outstanding Shot of the Day.
